Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Product Description
Whether heading off to work or school, this two-tiered bento box from Kotobuki adds both style and affordable practicality to your life, enabling you to pack a healthy lunch from home in its two containers. Geared toward those both young and young at heart, this panda-shaped bento box has a black-and-white exterior that's illustrated with eyes, smiling mouth, and black puffy ears. The bento is composed of two compartments that stack on top of each other. The upper compartment seals shut with a fitted plastic lid and it doubles as a lid for the bottom compartment. The panda-illustrated lid then covers the top compartment, and an elastic band (complete with eyebrows that can be placed above the panda's eyes) secures the two compartments together when traveling.

Traced historically back as far as the fifth century in Japan, bento boxes are carried today by everyone from school children to executives and are the ideal way to pack nutritious, travel-friendly meals. Kotubuki bento boxes are made in Japan of durable food-safe plastic. It measures approximately 4-1/2 by 4-1/2 by 3-1/8 inches. The top and bottom compartments are both microwave and dishwasher safe; the inner lid that covers the top compartment is not microwave safe and should be hand washed.
